TEGAN SAPWELL: Reporter
Tegan joined Nine News in November 2007, following almost 2 years at GWN in Albany and Bunbury.
She started out studying journalism at Curtin University. But by the time she finished her degree in 2000, Tegan decided it was time to see the world.
She spent the next two years travelling through Europe, Asia and Africa – picking up work in London, Edinburgh and the Greek Islands to fund her travels.
Finally, with the travel bug well and truly out of her system, Tegan returned to Perth where she worked as an event co-ordinator for Ticketmaster.
But a passion for television news eventually drove her back to university, where she completed a postgraduate diploma in broadcasting at WA Academy of Performing Arts.
Tegan landed a job as a reporter at GWN soon after, also working at Channel 7 on a casual basis before making the move to Nine.
Tegan is thrilled to be part of the Nine News team. Her favourite part of the job is meeting everyday people, with amazing stories.
