An Adelaidian by birth, Bob has spent 21 of the past 35 years in Perth. He has been employed by STW Channel Nine as a Sports Presenter since March 1987.

In 1966, at age 16, Bob joined the newsroom of the then SAS 10 Adelaide as a cadet journalist.

Within 3 years Bob was working at TVW Channel 7 as a senior reporter, alongside yet-to-be Premier Brian Burke.

In a TV and radio career spanning more than three decades, Bob has seen news gathering evolve from shooting news on black and white, silent film to instant satellite access to virtually anywhere in the world.

He has worked extensively throughout Australia, Europe, the United States and South Africa, in varying capacities, from reporter to news director, from commentator to producer, from anchorman to interviewer.

Among his career highlights, he lists anchoring and commentating on the 1984 Olympic Games; the production of several highly acclaimed documentaries, including "In Search of The Great White shark" for which he won a Logie commendation.

Bob has played most sports at a senior level. His favourites include baseball, football (all codes), motor racing, darts and golf.

In May 2003 Bob, together with professional golfer David Watson joined forces to host Channel Nine Perth’s locally made program Golfing Western Australia. In 2006 he was joined by locally trained golfer Drew Dubberlin.
